3 Mindsets You NEED For Real Estate Success.

A couple days ago I sent my following of real estate investors an email about all the different things that can happen AFTER a tax lien/deed sale that you need to be aware of…and it was quite the list, i’ve gotta say…

When you get into real estate, i’ll be honest, it can seem overwhelming, unless you have someone to hold your hand and guide you through it

But it doesn’t have to stop you dead in your tracks. You see, there are 3 ESSENTIAL mindsets that can make or break you in this business!

Mindset #1: I am willing and able to learn new things, and master them.

This one may be the biggest of them all → you CAN learn new skills, and you can grow as a person, and as a business person.

If you’re driving the golf ball down life’s back 9, you may have a harder time with the newest additions to technology and computers, but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn

… It just means that you’ll have to try a little harder.

If you don’t have a lot of experience with real estate in general, all the crazy terms, and differences in laws/rules from state to state, county to county might confuse the heck out of you….but that doesn’t mean you can learn it…

… you might just have to work a little bit harder than other people. And that’s ok.
That’s what builds our character. That is what gives us the tools down the road to build companies, learn social skills, be better communicators, and grow as a human being.

Mindset #2: When things don’t work out, I can and will find a solution, even if it takes me time.

Just because you face a problem, doesn’t mean the world is ending.

I can promise you this: you WILL come across inconsistencies with Real Estate.

You will get frustrated with not being able to get information that you need, or have a hard time finding the correct documents.

…but that doesn’t mean it’s game over.

You just have to look a little harder, call a few more people or spend more time searching online.

As much as we hate to believe this, there is generally a solution to every problem, the error just lives in our ability to solve it/find it.

Don’t be afraid to spend time on solving a problem – it may seem like a waste of time, but it could very well be the thing that is building the character and skills you need.
And guess what…the next time you face that problem, or a similar one, you’ll double, triple, quadruple your speed of solving it.

Mindset #3: I don’t have to be who I was yesterday…

The one is so powerful, once you truly understand it, and it clicks in.

You have the power to change your today… and your tomorrow.

Your actions yesterday, and anything before that do not define you as a person.

All that matters is what your doing today.

Take a second and let that sink in.

All that matters is what you’re doing today – are you moving towards someone you want to be? Or someone who you’ve always been…because there is a difference.

If you’re not moving forward, what are some small steps you can take right now to build that momentum? (cause that momentum DOES take time to build…)

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you look back 1 week, 4 weeks, 6 months, and 1 year and realize that every day, you took some sort of action to change into the person you know you are.
